This review is specifically for the game Blink:Our family has loved this game for years and it has aged well with our children who still enjoy a good round of Blink! Blink has become our go-to game for birthday gifts. It is easy to learn, even for young players, while still being entertaining & engaging for older players.What is needed to play?1. A basic grasp of four colors (red, blue, yellow, green)2. The ability to differentiate four shapes (stars, triangles, flowers, raindrop)3. The ability to visualize groups of things up to five (there are no numbers involved, but groups of three flowers, two stars, of five triangles for example).The wonderful thing is, no one has to be perfect at any of these skills to be able to play, and little children learn quickly by being included in gameplay. Our kids were able to play around 3 years old, and quickly improved their game to be competitive with older siblings and us. Blink is a good one for all game playing ages and becomes more challenging as the players become familiar enough with the basics to allow them to increase the speed of the gameplay (ie: it is basically a race to see who can put down all the cards in their hands first).Pros:1. Great for a wide range of players2. It's quick and easy to learn and improve as you play3. Entertaining for everyone, most every age, girls and boys alike...men and women too!4. Gameplay is short--2-3 minutes on average, so even playing a slow game with novice players or little ones is not a big time commitment.5. It's very portable. Great game to keep kids busy at restaurants etc.6. It's FUN! You'll have a hard time stopping at just one round of this game. Everyone loves the challenge to test their own speed and recognition skills...over and over again.Cons (Spoiler: there really aren't any):1 If you blink it's over! You'll want to play again and again!
